Senior Infants had some fun extracting seeds from strawberries in Science. Using toothpicks they carefully and patiently took the seeds out one by one before planting them in soil. We are eagerly awaiting the next step in the process and seeing our plants begin to sprout. Maith sibh Senior Infants!

Lá na pancóga
This week we were very lucky to enjoy some delicious pancóga in Senior Infants. The children used their ingredients - plúr, bainne agus ubh amháin, and mixed these together in their bowls to create a batter. They were learning to work as a team to create the perfect pancakes! After all the prep was done the children got to enjoy the fruits of their labour with some delicious strawberries which they chopped themselves.

Hot school meals!
We were lucky to start receiving our hot school meals this week at school. After lots of picking, smelling, nibbling and tasting the children enjoyed having warm food in their tummies on this very cold week in January.

Show and Tell
We have been working on our language skills in Senior Infants. The children brought in an item to show to their class and described why they chose this item along with details about it. They showed pride in their belongings and were confident in presenting to their peers. Maith sibh a pháistí!
