Clever coders!

Throughout January and February, Senior Infants discovered how to create sequences of instructions,  think in a fun creative way and problem solve together with the use of Beebots. 

The children had to use their strategy skills to programme the Beebot through their activity mats. 

They advanced their skills further by applying their knowledge to using the Beebot app on their i-pads. Coding has certainly helped promote essential logical reasoning and fostered collaboration in our classroom. 

 

 

 

 

St Brigid

 The month of February has been learning all about 'Kindness' and how we honour St Brigid, who showed such kindness to others in her lifetime. 

The children enjoyed learning how to create their St. Brigid's crosses and spent lots of time reflecting on how they can show kindness too. 

 

  

 

 

 

 

Christmas celebrations

 December has been a month full of fun, rehearsals and showing kindness to our friends and family. 

The children were busy preparing for their Christmas performance, A snowman at sunset. All their patience and hard work paid out and they delivered their parts beautifully - maith sibh a pháistí!

The children also enjoyed creating clay decorations for their loved ones. They carefully moulded the clay, patiently waited for them to dry before painting and decorating them. Finally they got to wrap them and take them home. They were very proud of their creations. 

The final day of term allowed the children to enjoy decorating gingerbread cookies before dancing the minutes away before the bell rang on 2025 for Senior Infants! 

Such a wonderful few weeks - full of memories. You are all amazing 💗
