Spring walk

“Children don’t just learn about nature—they learn from it. In every leaf, stream, and patch of soil, they discover curiosity, resilience, and their place in the world.”

Senior Infants took advantage of the sunshine this week with a walk in our local area. We were looking for signs of Spring all around us. We spotted lots of buds, moss, nests and beautiful flowers along the way.

Hurling superstars!

The future is bright for Ardrahan hurling and camogie! Super skills displayed on their very first day with our hurling coach, and the sun came out to greet us!

Clever coders!

Throughout January and February, Senior Infants discovered how to create sequences of instructions,  think in a fun creative way and problem solve together with the use of Beebots.
The children had to use their strategy skills to programme the Beebot through their activity mats.

They advanced their skills further by applying their knowledge to using the Beebot app on their i-pads. Coding has certainly helped promote essential logical reasoning and fostered collaboration in our classroom.

St Brigid

The month of February has been learning all about 'Kindness' and how we honour St Brigid, who showed such kindness to others in her lifetime.
The children enjoyed learning how to create their St. Brigid's crosses and spent lots of time reflecting on how they can show kindness too.
