Majestic May!

 Senior Infants have been learning about Forces in Science and experimenting with 'push' and 'pull' and the effects they cause. We were able to identify things that we 'pushed' and 'pulled'. 

May also included learning about Fibre and Fabric in Art which linked nicely with our Materials topic. The children created Fabric Monsters using a variety of materials and were able to discuss why each material was chosen. 

We also spent time learning how to play some new games in our class. We practiced our turn taking skills, patience and praising the winners and consoling the runners up! 

Money was a highlight for us this month. We learned how to identify different euro cent coins and our class shop was a great learning experience for everyone. We were able to add up the total of our items and find the suitable coins for the shopkeeper!
